I grew up involved with theatre instead of sports; my high school was so dedicated to the arts that they didn’t even have PE, let alone physical sports/competitions. Despite my lack of knowledge in the weightlifting/sports side of the world, I loved calisthenics. Began my fitness journey doing hundreds of pull-ups, push-ups, and dips almost every day, and eventually taught myself to do a muscle-up. I didn’t even start touching weights till I was almost 27. At that point, I started to know friends and family who began CrossFit, but I never felt ready enough to jump in. Years went by of me watching this community interact and grow, as I just sat on the sidelines and judged; secretly loving what I was watching. It wasn’t until 2021, when I had gone through depression, job changes, and life changes that I decided to give it a try. I have never looked back and have now dedicated my future to functional fitness and the community it comes with!

During Covid, I hit an all-time low. I not only felt like a failure, I felt alone, which I’m sure so many people can understand. I tried to fight it, force myself to work out, and run 3 miles a day, but I ended up bored, drinking, and more depressed. I had no drive anymore. It wasn’t until I gave this community a chance that I was able to see how far I had fallen. This fitness community brought me back, and gives me a reason to keep moving every day!

It is my goal as an owner and coach to empower people; and to bring an opportunity to challenge, grow, and achieve goals. I want to give the same passion, coaching, and positivity to everyone who walks into the gym that was given to me; to motivate and inspire. More than anything, I want to get someone to do something they say they can’t, and prove to them that they can.
